The Golden Knights open the 16-team event on Wednesday, facing Weber State at 11 a.m. Eastern.

UCF (11-5) is ranked 62nd nationally and will play four matches at the tournament, which concludes on Saturday. After meeting Weber State (5-8), the Golden Knights will play either Idaho or Texas-Arlington at 3:30 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday.

The Golden Knights are also on the same side of the bracket as No. 19 Boise State, Gonzaga, Sacramento State and UC-Santa Cruz. Ball State, Cal Poly, Georgia State, Idaho State, Lewis-Clark, Montana, Portland and San Francisco are also participating in the event.

A year ago, UCF competed at the tournament in Idaho for the first time, going 2-2 to finish seventh. The Golden Knights will be facing Weber State for the first time.

The team is coming off of a 4-3 home victory over cross-state rival USF on March 24. Sophomore Norman Alcantara (Mexico City, Mexico) clinched the win for the hosts with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 decision over Henning Hipp at No. 4. UCF freshman Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden) improved to 14-2 in singles play with 6-0, 3-6, 6-2 victory against Mahmoud Hamed at the No. 3 spot.

Following the tournament, UCF has three contests remaining in the regular season. The squad will participate in the Conference USA Championship in Houston starting April 20.
