LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's track and field team broke a second school relay record as the Golden Knights concluded competition at the Walt Disney World Invitational on Saturday.
The UCF 4x800-meter relay team of sophomore Shantile Blackburn, freshman Carley Dart, junior Kristin Zieminski and freshman Stephanie Knapp earned first place in a school record-breaking time of 9:12.47, beating entries from both Princeton and Villanova.
It was the second time during the meet that Knapp anchored a record-setting relay team as she joined teammates Dione Thomas, Feyisara Adaramola and Victoria Chin to claim top prize in the sprint medley relay on Friday.
Earlier in the afternoon, the 4x400m relay took third at 3:43.92, while the 4x100m relay was fourth at 47.72.
In the triple jump, sophomore Ricki Sullivan (Santa Cruz, Calif./Harbor HS) placed fifth with a personal-best of 38-feet, 6.75 inches.
UCF alumnus Ann Larsen won the high jump with a personal-best mark of 6-1.25, an effort that also qualifies her for outdoor nationals later in the season.
UCF finished second overall at the meet with 111 points with Florida State in first with 144.5 points. Florida International was third with 107.
