Spring Football Practice Report: Day Two

March 22, 2007

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF football team spent its second spring practice splitting up the two-hour session between individual and team drills.

The skill position players on both offense and defense worked a lot on footwork drills, while the linemen worked a lot on technique during the early periods of the session. Both units came together towards the end of the session to work on installing offensive and defensive schemes.

"We are still installing stuff, but the energy is good and that is what you are looking for," Head coach George O'Leary said. "I have seen a lot of the kids improve from last fall and I think the offseason program is starting to show a little. We will find out more tomorrow when we are in full pads."

The Knights will be in full pads on Friday for the first time this spring. The start time is schedule for 9:20 a.m. and all UCF spring practices are open to the public.
