Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Following each spring football practice, a general question will be asked of a selected group of Golden Knights. Today's question was:
What do you want to accomplish this spring?
Kyle Smith
#79 Senior Offensive Guard
"I would definitely like for our team to get better on offense and as a whole. I would like to have our offensive line sustain blocks better, protect our quarterback and just be physical out there."
Leger Douzable
#91 Senior Defensive Tackle
"For the spring, as coach said, we are hoping to accomplish a two-deep going into the fall. We are trying to get ready for our first game against N.C. State. Spring is just a practice to get ready for the season and to make sure that we are strong enough as a two-deep to be prepared for the fall."
Chance Henderson
#54 Sophomore Linebacker
"Just to get better. We have a new defense and we need to learn the defense, so when the season comes we will have it down pat. It's different from last year. We have a lot of new freshman coming in and we have some players that have already graduated (from high school), so we just need to get everybody together and get things rolling for the new season."
Rocky Ross
#5 Junior Wide Receiver
"During the spring I'll be working with Coach David Kelly, our new wide receivers coach, and I'm just looking to create a good relationship with him. I would like to come out and be a leader to all the young receivers and be a real reliable receiver."
Josh Sitton
#70 Junior Offensive Tackle
"As an offensive line we are looking to become a better group as a whole. We need to get better at communicating and as an offensive unit just executing and finishing in the red zone. I think that is the main goal as an offense right now."
