ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will play its fourth-consecutive home match as the Golden Knights take on Florida A&M on Sunday. Play will begin at 9:30 a.m. and admission to all home matches at the UCF Tennis Complex is free.
UCF is 7-3 on the season. Their most recent match resulted in a 6-1 victory over East Carolina on Feb. 25, where the Golden Knights improved to 3-0 against Conference USA rivals this year. Freshman Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden) is now 9-1 in singles play while sophomore Norman Alcantara (Mexico City, Mexico) improved to 6-1 overall in singles with a win over the Pirates.
UCF has a 9-1 edge in the all-time series with Florida A&M. Florida A&M is currently 10-5 on the season. William Mau-asam is 11-2 in singles and Artiom Podgainii is 10-3.
The Golden Knights' next home match will be against UNC-Greensboro on Wednesday. The contest is scheduled for 2 p.m.
