UCF Radio Show to Make Season Debut Monday

March 19, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The spring edition of the "Cingular Wireless Knights Roundtable" radio show makes its season debut Monday at 6 p.m. on the UCF ISP Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 THE TEAM in Orlando. The hour-long program on UCF athletics is hosted by Scott Adams.

UCF baseball head coach Jay Bergman will appear on the program to talk about his team, which has won eight of its last nine games. The Golden Knights (14-10) open Conference USA play this weekend with a three-game series at home versus Houston. Play at Jay Bergman Field begins on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

During the program, Adams will speak to the new men's soccer head coach Bryan Cunningham. Cunningham, who had spent two years at UCF as an assistant coach, took over the Golden Knights' program in late February. This Thursday, UCF will play an exhibition game on campus at 7 p.m. against BK Hacken, a first-division Swedish team.

Softball head coach Renee Luers-Gillispie will also be a guest on this week's show. Her team is 20-13 overall in 2007 and is coming off of a 2-1 C-USA series victory over visiting Southern Miss this past weekend. The Golden Knights host Dartmouth for a pair of contests on Wednesday.

Monday's program is the first of nine episodes that will air this spring.
