Men's Tennis Hosts No. 48 Denver on Tuesday

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - After Saturday's close victory against Florida Atlantic, the 65th-ranked UCF men's tennis team will host No. 48 Denver at home on Tuesday. Play will start at 2 p.m. and admission to all home matches at the UCF Tennis Complex is free.

UCF improved its record to 10-4 by defeating Florida Atlantic on Saturday, 4-3. Sophomore Tarek Ben Soltane (Tunis, Tunisia), freshman Johan Beigart (Vaxjo, Sweden) and sophomore Brock Sakey (Gulf Breeze, Fla./Gulf Breeze) recorded victories in singles matches against the Owls. In doubles play, Sakey and sophomore Norman Alcantara (Mexico City, Mexico) recorded an 8-2 win at No. 1 and Beigart played with junior Sinan Sudas (Adana, Turkey) at No. 2 to capture an 8-6 victory.

The Golden Knights have won seven of their last eight matches, including their last six at home.

Denver fell to 7-3 on the season by dropping a match to No. 75 Arizona on March 11. The Pioneers' top player, No. 19 Adam Holmstrom, is 10-1 overall and was honored as the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on March 14. Holmstrom brings his singles success into doubles play where he is partnered with Niklaus Persson. They are 10-1 on the season.

The Golden Knights' next home match will be against USF on Saturday, March 24. The contest starts at noon.
