March 13, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's cross country earned all-academic team status from the National Collegiate Division I Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced recently.

In order to be honored, a squad must have a grade-point-average of 3.0 or better during the fall. The Golden Knights posted a team GPA of 3.163 to receive their eighth award.

"We're very proud of all the hard work that these young women put forth this year in the classroom and in competition," said UCF head coach Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. "Earning the award is a testament to the effort that our student-athletes have given toward the pursuit of excellence."
