Thames broke UCF's freshman record in the shot put as the Golden Knights competed at the USF Invitational in Tampa. She posted a winning toss of 45-feet, 7.75 inches in the event. The previous mark of 44.-9.5 was set by Tiffany Roebuck in 2002. Thames also finished second in the discus at 139-1 and fifth in the hammer throw at 130. UCF will return to action at the three-day Disney Invitational, beginning March 22 in Lake Buena Vista.
