Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF Rowdy Knights student organization is leading a party of students traveling to Memphis, Tenn. for the upcoming Conference USA Men's Basketball Championships to cheer on the second-seeded Golden Knights. Space is limited to the first 50 students.
For only $50, students may sign up to travel on a chartered motor coach and for hotel accommodations in Memphis for the games held at the FedEx Forum. Tickets to the sessions that feature UCF will be provided to the students that are part of the group, courtesy of the UCF Athletics Association. Some additional funding for this special student travel package is sponsored by the Rowdy Knights, Student Government Association and the UCF Athletics Association.
"The Rowdy Knights have been great all season and it is fun to see a student organization put together a trip to show their support," said Jason Horn, UCFAA Assistant Athletics Director. "The students that make the trip will find the city of Memphis and the championship games to be a great highlight of their college experience."
With a first round bye, UCF is set to play Thursday at 1 p.m. Eastern in the quarterfinals against No. 7 Rice or No. 10 UTEP. The semifinals are set for Friday afternoon and the title game is slated for Saturday morning.
The bus to Memphis will leave from campus on Wednesday night.
