ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - This week's edition of "UCF Sports Today" with men's basketball head coach Kirk Speraw airs this Friday at 5:30 p.m. on Sun Sports. The half-hour show will feature highlights from the Golden Knights' past two Conference USA contests, wins over Tulsa and East Carolina.
Speraw's squad is 17-6 overall and currently tied for second in C-USA with a 6-3 mark. The Golden Knights return to action on Saturday, hosting Marshall at noon.
This week's program includes a feature story on a pair of UCF fan organizations - Kirk's Jerks and the Rowdy Knights. Highlights of the feature include interviews with members of both groups and a look at how the organizations support the Golden Knights during home games.
The Golden Knights are coming off of a 67-49 victory at East Carolina on Wednesday. Senior forward Josh Peppers (Memphis, Tenn./Whitehaven) paced UCF with 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field.
