A victory would give the Golden Knights some needed momentum and confidence heading into the 2007 C- USA Women's Basketball Championship, which takes place in Tulsa, Okla. from March 1-4. The tournament bracket, including seeding and game times, is slated to be released by the conference office on Sunday, Feb. 25.

Despite Thursday's 64-46 loss to visiting Marshall, Houston once again found her way into the UCF record books. Her team-high 12 points against the Thundering Herd moved her into 10th place on the school's all-time career scoring list.

Meanwhile, freshman guard Shante Cummings continues to show why she is why one of the Golden Knights to watch as she contributed 11 points and team-high seven boards to the effort. In the past three games, Cummings has averaged nine points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.

Striegler was recognized in 2003 and 2005, while Baldwin-Tener won in 2002 when she guided the Mercer Bears.

UCF and East Carolina didn't meet on the hardwood before the Golden Knights joined C-USA in 2005. The Lady Pirates posted a 2-0 advantage in the series with a 68-63 win in Orlando and a 65-44 win in Greenville, N.C. last season and extended the streak with a 62-46 win at home on Jan. 7.
