UCF Baseball Announces Jam the Jay Tuesday Night

Feb. 23, 2007

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - To kick-off UCF baseball's 17-game home stand, the Golden Knights are pleased to announce "Jam the Jay" for Tuesday night's game against Michigan. First pitch for UCF's first weekday contest of 2007 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Black and Gold are hoping to break Jay Bergman Field's all-time attendance record and all fans entering the gates will receive a free UCF pom-pom. There will be a battle between the UCF Towers to see who will claim a Student Government Association sponsored prize as well.

Meanwhile, the SGA is also sponsoring a free tailgate near the field with hamburgers and hotdogs for the first 250 students.

To order advance tickets to the game, fans may call the UCF Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000. General admission seating is $7, youths (5-17) and senior citizens are $5, while students and kids four and under are free. For groups of at least 20, tickets are only $3 each and orders must be made in advance.

UCF has a 7-5 overall record against Michigan, who finished 2006 as the Big Ten Champions and earned a berth in the NCAA Regionals. Tuesday will be the 13th time the Wolverines visit the Knights, as the two teams have never met outside of Orlando.
