Daytona Beach, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - A little before game time Tuesday, rain hit the Daytona Beach area hard and forced the UCF softball team to cancel its meeting at Bethune-Cookman. No make-up date has been announced. The two teams still have a doubleheader slated for March 15 at the UCF Softball Complex.
The Golden Knights (3-2) will not have a lot of time off, though, as they travel to Las Vegas for the UNLV Louisville Slugger Desert Classic Feb. 16-18. UCF's first day should be one of the toughest of the season as it takes on No. 3 UCLA and host UNLV. It also meets up with Colorado State, Seton Hall and Oklahoma State.
