Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - To kick-off its first home dual-match of the season, UCF will face the Jacksonville Dolphins this Saturday, Feb. 10. Play will begin at 2 p.m. and admission to all home matches at the UCF Tennis Complex is free.
The Golden Knights' previous match, scheduled against North Florida, was postponed due to bad weather in the Jacksonville area. UCF is 0-1 after a 7-0 loss to No. 2 Florida Jan. 27.
Jacksonville had a 10-10 overall record last season with one of those losses coming against the Golden Knights, 5-2. This year the Dolphins are 2-1, winning their most recent matches over Florida A&M and Georgia Southern.
UCF has gone an impressive 23-1 over Jacksonville in the past. This year the Golden Knights will face a new Jacksonville team made up of four incoming freshmen, senior Emese Sulyos and junior Lena Willi.
UCF's next contest, after meeting Jacksonville, will be a home match against Florida International. The Golden Knights will face the Golden Panthers Monday, Feb. 12, at noon.
