Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - National Signing Day for football is set for Wednesday and the newly-launched website of the UCF athletic department will provide extensive coverage of the day's events. The site - www.ucfathletics.com - will be updated continually throughout the day as prep athletes sign a National Letter of Intent to play for head coach George O'Leary and the Golden Knight football team.

The coverage will begin when the first facsimile is sent to the UCF football offices Wednesday morning and is approved by the school's compliance department. A biography of each player's prep career along with a quote from his high school coach will be posted to the website once the NLI is confirmed.

Wednesday is the first day that high school seniors can confirm their verbal pledges with a signature to play for their desired institutions.

O'Leary will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. ET, which will be streamed live on the website as the fourth-year coach discusses his 2007 signing class with the local media.
