In a pair of games against Florida International to open the season, Vazquez went 4-for-9 at the plate. On Sunday, the sophomore first baseman had three hits and drove in three runs as UCF posted a 9-3 victory over the Golden Panthers. Vazquez and the Golden Knights return to action this weekend, hosting 15th-ranked TCU for a three-game series. Action at Jay Bergman Field begins Friday at 6:30 p.m.
