Men's Basketball Game Against Memphis Sold Out

Jan. 29, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF Athletics Association announced on Monday that the Golden Knights' home basketball game on Wednesday against No. 11 Memphis is a sellout. Tip-off for the Conference USA men's contest at the UCF Arena is set for 7 p.m.

The last remaining tickets were sold mid-afternoon on Monday. UCF distributed 1,900 tickets to students.

The Golden Knights (15-5, 4-2 C-USA) are 10-0 at home this season and have won 12-straight overall on their home court. Memphis enters the game 17-3 overall and 7-0 in conference play.

Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game to support the Golden Knights. UCF supporters sitting in the lower bowl will receive a black Golden Knights t-shirt, sponsored by Holler & Classic.

UCF-Memphis will be televised live regionally on Comcast Sports South. Locally, the game can be heard on the UCF ISP Sports Network and its flagship station, WQTM 740 THE TEAM AM (Orlando). Live audio and statistics are also available at www.ucfathletics.com.

Due to the large crowd expected on Wednesday, fans are encouraged to arrive early. Ticket will call and arena doors open at 6 p.m.

Four of the largest home crowds in school history have already been recorded this season. When the Golden Knights hosted Rice on Jan. 20 for a league contest, 3,807 fans were on hand, the third-largest crowd to attend a game at the UCF Arena.

The Golden Knights are in their final year at the UCF Arena. Next fall, the program will move into the new Convocation Center on campus. The 10,000-seat venue will give UCF one of the best basketball facilities in the region.

Tickets to all other UCF games are available by calling 407-839-3900 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
