ORLANDO - If fans would like to get up close and personal with numerous professional athletes and UCF alumni, this weekend is a perfect opportunity. Tickets remain on sale for the Central Florida Celebrity Softball Classic, which is promising to be a very memorable event.
Friday evening at 6 p.m. will honor UCF head baseball coach Jay Bergman with the Celebrity Gala & Roast at the Fairwinds Alumni Center on the UCF campus. Former New York Mets manager Davey Johnson and former Minnesota Twins pitcher Frank Viola will be two of the featured roasters, while ESPN's Terry Bowden will serve as the emcee.
Saturday's softball game begins with a home run derby at noon, and the game itself kicks off at 1 p.m. at Jay Bergman Field. The following is a list of celebrities participating in the event:
