UCF Athletics Taps Dr. Steve Angelucci to Complete Executive Staff

Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Director of Athletics and Executive Vice President Keith R. Tribble has announced the hiring of Dr. Steve Angelucci as Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs for UCF Athletics Association, Inc.

Dr. Angelucci brings an impressive background to UCF Athletics most recently spending the past two years as Vice President and General Manager of the University of Kentucky project for Host Communications Inc. and Gray Television Inc. in his native Lexington, KY.

"Steve's expertise in collegiate sports marketing and multimedia and advertising rights management will be essential as UCF continues to grow into a program of prominence," said Tribble. "Steve's career background, long in collegiate marketing on both the athletics side and with a primary rights holder in Host Communications Inc., will allow us to maximize our potential

At UCF, Dr. Angelucci will oversee ticket sales, licensing, marketing and promotions and communications departments assigned to the Golden Knights' 17 varsity programs as well as serve as the primary liaison with ISP Sports Marketing.

With a Master's Degree in Sports Administration and Facility Management from Ohio University, Angelucci, prior to UK, was the senior principal for Lexington-based Cornett Advertising. Prior to that role, he spent nine years with ISP Sports where he served as the general manager for the Virginia Tech property and in a variety of corporate sales and marketing positions. Angelucci has also served in athletics roles at Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville.

With a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry from UK, Angelucci owned and operated a successful general dentistry practice in Lexington from 1979 to 1988. During that time, he also worked as a clinical and classroom instructor for the UK Department of Restorative Dentistry.
