ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team hosts 17th-ranked Memphis for a Conference USA clash on Wednesday, Jan. 31 and as result of the demand for tickets to the contest, the UCF Athletics Association has implemented a special student plan for the game. Tip-off for the league game at the UCF Arena is set for 7 p.m.
UCF will allocate 1,900 free seats to students with a portion of those tickets reserved for students who have attended UCF men's basketball games this season. The qualifying students will receive an e-mail on Thursday, Jan. 18.
Students will need to show their school ID and their ticket to enter the Memphis game.
The students who qualify for tickets can pickup the tickets at the two UCF basketball games on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the UCF Arena. The Golden Knights' women's squad hosts Southern Miss at 2 p.m. and the men face Rice at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket distribution tables will be located on the main concourse of the UCF Arena and will open an hour before tip-off when doors open and will remain active until halftime. The first 350 students to pickup their tickets will receive lower-level tickets. The remaining seats are in the upper level.
Following the games on Saturday, any remaining tickets will be available for pickup beginning Monday, Jan. 22 at the UCF Ticket Office, which is located at the Wayne Densch Sports Center. The building is next to the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Students can also purchase tickets all UCF home games for $7. Single-game tickets are available by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 407-839-3900.
The Golden Knights are off to an impressive 13-4 overall start. The team is 2-1 in C-USA play and has won 10-straight games at home.
