Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - By having 36 games at home this season, UCF fans will have plenty of opportunities to check out the baseball program on the diamond. But for those who will not be able to make it out to Jay Bergman Field, WQTM 740-AM The Team announced Friday that it will broadcast 19 regular season games in 2007, as well as any postseason tournaments the Golden Knights qualify for. Meanwhile, every home event will be aired live on UCFAthletics.com. The action begins with opening day Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. against Florida International.
Marc Daniels, the "Voice of the Golden Knights," returns to the booth to provide play-by-play for 740-AM The Team. Along with the season opener, he also will provide coverage of four non-conference home games and the Conference USA series with Southern Miss, Tulane and Marshall. Daniels takes the show on the road when UCF travels to Stetson March 27 and May 8, USF April 3 and April 17 and Florida April 10.
For the remaining 22 home dates, UCFAthletics.com will be there as well. Some of the featured games that fans can listen to online will be the entire three-game series with No. 15 TCU, head coach Jay Bergman's 1,500th game as UCF skipper (vs. Monmouth March 3) and all three contests vs. C-USA foe Houston. In all, 42 of the Golden Knights' 58 games this year will have radio coverage on either 740-AM The Team or online.
The pregame show for every baseball game will begin approximately 15 minutes before the first pitch.
