UCF Adds Promotions for Upcoming C-USA Women's Basketball Games

ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - When the UCF women's basketball team tips off its 2006-07Conference USA home schedule this weekend, fans will be able to take advantage of some new promotions, including four chances to win $10,000 from Coca Cola and five opportunities for UCF students to earn $250 scholarships from the Student Government Association (SGA) and. New "Weekend Knight Out" ticket packages will also be available.

"As we start our home conference schedule, we wanted to add a few elements to continue to broaden our fan experience at the UCF Arena," said Jason Horn, UCF Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Marketing and Promotions.

The conference home opener against UAB on Friday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. features the first "Get Coke Cash Crazy" contest as one lucky fan will have the shot to win $10,000 during halftime. An SGA Fan of the Game will also be chosen to receive a $250 scholarship and the first 500 fans through the doors receive schedule posters.

The "Get Coke Cash Crazy" and SGA Fan of the Game contests also take place during the games on Jan. 20 against Southern Miss, Feb. 11 against Rice, Feb. 24 against East Carolina and one other game yet to be determined.

At each of the eight conference contests, fans can compete for the chance to win a trip for two to the 2007 C-USA Championship in Tulsa, Okla.

Also, new for 2007 are the Weekend Knight Out ticket packages for the games on Feb. 4 against Tulsa, Feb. 9 against Houston and Feb. 11 against Rice. For $18, fans receive two general admission tickets, two Cokes, two hotdogs and one popcorn. Each additional person is $9.

Other promotions include:

* "Take a Kid to the Game Day" - On Jan. 12 against UAB, kids under the age of 14 receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult.

* "Elementary, Middle and High School Team Night" & "Camper Reunion Night" - On Jan. 20 vs. Southern Miss, free admission is given to elementary, middle and high school teams as well as all UCF basketball campers.

* "Faculty/Staff Night" - On Feb. 9 against Houston, faculty and staff with ID receive $3 admission.
