Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - Highlighted by 13 home events, the UCF women's tennis team finalized its 2007 spring schedule Thursday. The Golden Knights return to the courts Jan. 19-21 with the UCF Invitational, while they also welcome in-state rivals Jacksonville, Florida International and Florida A&M during the season.

After hosting the UCF Invitational, the Black and Gold travel to Gainesville to take on Florida Jan. 27. The Gators finished 2006 ranked No. 2 in the country. Following a trip to North Florida Feb. 2, UCF hosts Jacksonville Feb. 10 and Florida International Feb. 12.

The Golden Knights and USF get together in Tampa Feb. 15, while UCF journeys south to battle Florida Atlantic Feb. 24 and Miami Feb. 25. The longest homestand of the season starts March 1 when Eastern Michigan comes to town. Florida A&M then visits the UCF Tennis Complex March 2, followed by UNC-Greensboro March 4 and Xavier March 7. The meeting with UNC-Greensboro will be the first between the two programs.

The state of California awaits UCF in March as well. First up will be UC Irvine March 12, and the expedition to Southern Cal concludes with the first-ever showdown against Cal State Fullerton March 13.

UCF and Denver match-up in Orlando March 21. It will be the second time the two teams tangle, as the Pioneers defeated the Golden Knights during the 1979-80 season. Dartmouth (March 23) and Memphis (March 25) also invade UCF's home courts in the month of March.

The final road trip begins March 31 at New Mexico State. The Golden Knights head to UTEP April 1 and Stetson April 6 as well. To conclude the regular season, UCF hosts Marquette April 8, a scrimmage vs. Rollins April 13 and Louisville April 16. Louisville was on the schedule for UCF's first year of competition in 1978-79, a match the Golden Knights won, 5-1.

Tulsa, Okla., will be the site of the Conference USA Championships April 18-21. Last year, UCF defeated UTEP in the first round, but fell in the quarterfinals to top seed SMU.
