Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - After recently finishing up its fall slate, the UCF rowing team announced its 2007 spring schedule Monday. The Golden Knights will open the campaign in Tampa, Fla., against Michigan Feb. 24. Meanwhile, they have three regattas set for the Orlando area in March, including the honor of hosting the Petrakis Cup.

Following its meeting with Michigan, UCF takes the short trip to Winter Park for the Metro Cup March 3 and the Rollins Tri-Meet March 17, which both will primarily be lightweight regattas. The Golden Knights' open weights will travel to Texas for the Longhorn Invitational March 16-18. They return home the next weekend when the Gold and Black host the Petrakis Cup March 24.

When April rolls around, UCF will journey to Charlottesville, Va., to battle Virginia, Duke and Michigan State April 7. That same day, the lightweights head farther north to Boston, Mass., where they meet up with Princeton, Radcliffe and MIT.

UCF then moves west for the Stanford - Windermere Classic in Redwood City, Calif., April 14-15. The Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships (April 21-22), the South/Central Regionals (May 12-13) and the NCAA Championships (May 25-27) all will take place in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
