ORLANDO, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team plays its third game in five days as the Golden Knights travel to Jacksonville University for a Tuesday night match-up against the Dolphins in Swisher Gym. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

UCF (1-3) is coming off a confidence-building 59-51 victory over Albany in the consolation game of the UCF Golden Knights Tournament on Nov. 18. Leading the Golden Knights to the win, freshman forward Kristin Thomas (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater HS) recorded the first double-double her career with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while senior forward Keunta Miles (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./S. Broward HS) poured in a career-high 23 points.

With a 2-0 record, JU is off to its best start in the program's eight-year history after beating Charleston Southern and South Carolina State. Three Dolphins are averaging in double figures as junior forward Ashley Williams tops the stat sheet with 24.5 points per game. Sophomores DaVina Hamilton and Virginia Gregoire have each averaged 14.5 points.

Former Atlantic Sun rivals, UCF and JU have previously met on 12 occasions and the Golden Knights hold a 7-5 advantage. During UCF's final season in the A-Sun in 2005-06, the two teams split the home-and-home series. The Dolphins won the first game 67-59, while the Golden Knights took a 68-49 decision.

UCF's game against JU is the first of five contests that the team will play against in-state rivals this year. Looking ahead to December, the Golden Knights are scheduled to face Florida State at home and Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, while they play host to Florida A&M and North Florida in the UCF Holiday Classic.

After playing at Jacksonville on Tuesday night, the Golden Knights return to Orlando briefly before flying to the Bahamas on Wednesday afternoon. They open up the Junkanoo Jam Tournament on Friday, Nov. 24 against No. 16 Baylor then meet either Virginia or South Dakota State on Saturday, Nov. 25.

UCF's next home game is against Georgia Southern on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in the UCF Arena. Tickets for home contests are available by calling (407) UCF-1000.
