Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF football team travels to New Orleans this Saturday looking for back-to-back road wins in Conference USA play. The Golden Knights (3-7, 2-4 C-USA) take on the Tulane Green Wave (3-7, 1-5 C-USA) at the Louisiana Superdome at 2 p.m.
The teams have met twice before with UCF taking both decisions, including a 2001 meeting at the Superdome. The Knights won that contest 36-29 and also were victorious in the only C-USA meeting between the two schools a year ago, 34-24, at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
UCF is 2-1 on the road in C-USA play this year with those two victories coming by a combined total of three points. The Knights won at Marshall on Oct. 4, 23-22, and picked up a road win last Saturday, taking a 26-24 decision from Memphis.
Tulane closes out its home schedule with the Golden Knights. The Green Wave are 2-2 at the Superdome this year after playing all of their games away from the 75,000-seat venue a year ago due to Hurricane Katrina.
The Greenies have wins over Rice and Army this season on their home field after averaging 40 points per game in those contests.
