Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF men's tennis team will conclude its fall schedule this weekend when it hosts Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern and North Florida as part of the UCF Invitational. Starting Friday, Oct. 27, the Golden Knights will face all three teams in hidden dual-match play at the UCF Tennis Complex.
Only individual results will count at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association sanctioned event.
UCF opens play on Friday at 9 a.m. against Georgia Southern. On Saturday, the hosts faced Florida Atlantic at 9 a.m. The Golden Knights conclude play on Sunday, playing North Florida at 1:30 p.m.
UCF will be participating in its third event of the fall and first since Oct. 8 when it competed at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational in Atlanta. Sophomore Jimmy Roesch (Melbourne, Fla./Eau Gallie HS) advanced to the flight b consolation semifinals.
During the 2006 spring season, UCF faced both Florida Atlantic and North Florida. The Golden Knights posted a 6-1 at Florida Atlantic and topped the Ospreys, 4-3, in Orlando.
