Florida sophomore Toby Ragland held onto his overall lead in the individual standings following his second-consecutive round below par. The Jacksonville, Fla., native posted a 71 (-1) and held a one-shot lead on Georgia's Brian Harman, who also carded a 71. Tournament host UCF was one of nine teams in the field that bettered their first-round scores in round two as weather conditions gradually improved throughout the day at Isleworth. The Golden Knights posted the best improvement from their first round with an 18-stroke difference. Sophomore Kyle Davis led that effort with a team-best 71 (-1).

Schultz, who started the day tied with Groves in 39th, is now tied for fourth with Oklahoma State's Tyler Leon. Horschel's 12-shot improvement from his round one score was the best of the day. Clemson and Kentucky round out the top five in the team standings as the Tigers improved six shots from Sunday's round to card a 291 (+3). The Wildcats bettered their first-round score by 10 shots to post a 290 (+2). Georgia dropped into a tie for sixth with Duke and Tennessee following a 300 (+12).
