Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF volleyball team will hit the road for a pair of Conference USA matches this weekend as the Golden Knights will face Memphis on Friday evening at 8 p.m. Eastern and then face UAB on Sunday at 2 p.m. The contests are the first of five-consecutive matches away from Orlando.

UCF is 5-14 overall and 1-7 in league action in 2006. The squad has been led by junior outside hitter Schanell Neiderworder (Aurora, Colo./Grandview HS), who is averaging a team-best 3.36 kills per game. Junior outside hitter Lorin Lukas (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs HS) ranks 10th in the nation with a 0.67 assist per game average.

Memphis (19-4, 5-3 C-USA) has won 11-straight contests at home and three in a row overall. The Tigers lead the conference in hitting percentage (.278) and service aces (2.38) per game. UCF leads the all-time series, 5-4.

The Blazers are 14-9 and 2-6. UAB faces Mississippi Valley State in a non-league match in Birmingham tonight. The team will return to its C-USA schedule Friday at home versus Southern Miss.

UCF's next home contest is Friday, Nov. 3 against UTEP at 7 p.m. at the UCF Arena.
