Head Coach George O'Leary:
"I do not know any part of the game that we played average in. We cannot turn it over like that in a short field and give up points and touchdown passes. It is very disappointing from an execution standpoint, both offense and defense and in the kicking game. We need to regroup and get ready for the next one. I do not know anything at all that we did well out there. I will have to go back to the tape. We turned it over and they took advantage of the turnovers. The gameplan changes when it is 31-0. I am more disappointed with not stopping people on third down."
On the effort on the field from the Golden Knights:
"I did not see a lack of effort, but I did see a lack of urgency or intensity. We were flat. We moved the ball and gave up the big touchdown on the kickoff. We were moving the ball offensively and then turned it over. We never recovered from that."
Senior wide receiver Mike Walker:
"We shot ourselves in the foot again. Nobody can win with the turnovers that we had in the first half. I do not think we played badly, but it is the costly mistakes early in the game that are killing us."
On preparing for next week's game versus Rice:
"It is a conference game. Of course we would have liked to win this one, it is Pittsburgh and a nationally-televised game. Good exposure, good game, but a conference game is more important than anything. We have to come back, work had and beat Rice and that will make everything better."
