Orlando, Fla. (www.ucfathletics.com) - The UCF volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-26, 30-18, 30-15) Conference USA contest to visiting Marshall at the Education Gym on Friday afternoon. Junior outside hitter Lorin Lukas (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs HS) paced the Golden Knights with 13 kills and nine digs.

UCF falls to 5-13 overall and 1-6 in league action. With the victory, Marshall improved to 14-8 and 6-2.

The Golden Knights hit .324 in the opening game, which featured four ties and three lead changes. For the match, UCF had a .065 hitting percentage.

Sophomore middle blocker Stephanie Serna (San Antonio, Texas/O'Connor HS) chipped in with nine kills for the hosts. Freshman setter Andrea Youngblood (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County HS) tallied 20 assists.

Marshall hit .311 for the contest. Kelly-Anne Billingy recorded 21 kills for the Thundering Herd. Stephanie Cahill added 14 kills and Christin Bimberg recorded 36 assists.
