Construction on the 45,000 seat stadium began in August and is scheduled to be completed in time for the Golden Knights' 2007 home opener against Texas. Bright House Networks acquired the naming rights to the venue in August.
The stadium is situated in the athletics complex in the north end of the UCF campus. The complex includes the Convocation Center, which is also scheduled to be completed in fall 2007, the Nicholson Fieldhouse and the Wayne Densch Sports Center.
Construction and operation of the stadium will be funded through naming rights, revenues from suites and club leases, ticket and concessions sales, donations, corporate sponsorships and advertising. No public money or tuition will be used to build or run the stadium.
The stadium's suites and club seats have already sold out.
