MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - Despite strong play in the second half, the UCF men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to hosts College of Charleston in the Aaron Olitzky Memorial Classic at Patriot's Point on Sunday evening.

The Cougars (3-0-1) opened scoring in the fifth minute of the match when senior Jeremy Gold tallied the first of his two goals. Senior Scott Milroth found the back of the net in the 21st minute with an assist to Gold, who then gave CofC a 3-0 lead with his second goal in the 24th minute.

Following intermission, the hosts added another goal in the 50th minute thanks to senior Darren Toby before UCF freshman Jamal Robinson scored unassisted for the second time in as many matches.

Freshman Kareem Yearwood tallied CofC's final goal of the night from sophomore Casey Gold in the 69th minute.

Although the Cougars owned a 7-4 advantage on the shot clock in the first half, the Golden Knights (0-4-0) held a 10-4 margin in the second period to finish at 14-11 overall. UCF also had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
