Orlando, Fla. - The UCF Football schedule is hitting a unique stretch with the Golden Knights playing their next three contests on non-Saturdays. However, the quirk in the schedule will not effect the next three installments of the "Cingular Wireless Knights Roundtable" as the weekly radio show with Head Coach George O'Leary will remain on Thursdays through the first week in October.
The hour long show airs live on the UCF ISP Sports Network and its flagship station WQTM 740-AM THE TEAM from 6-7 p.m. Coach O'Leary and host Marc Daniels spend the hour each week at the Orlando Ale House in Waterford Lakes where they discuss UCF Football and take questions from Golden Knight fans on site and those listening to the show all over Central Florida.
This week's contest is a big one for the Golden Knights as they set out to defend their Conference USA East Division title against Southern Miss, the only team to hand UCF a loss in league play in 2005. Kickoff between the Golden Knights and Golden Eagles is set for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Florida Citrus Bowl and the game will be aired live nationally on ESPN2.
The first change to the CWKR schedule will be prior to the Oct. 13 contest with Pittsburgh, which is set for a Friday night at the Citrus Bowl. The radio show will move to Wednesday, Oct. 11, for that week only and move back to Thursdays until the week of Thanksgiving, when it will once again be moved to Wednesday.
The broadcast is also available online at www.ucfathletics.com. Tickets to all UCF home games can still be ordered by calling 407-UCF-1000 or logging on to the website at www.ucfathletics.com.
