ORLANDO - Four Golden Knights finished with double-digits in kills as the UCF volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory over visiting USF on Tuesday evening at the UCF Arena. The Golden Knights (5-7) hit .305 for the match.

Senior outside hitter Maina Heming (Sao Leopoldo, Brazil) and junior outside hitter Schanell Neiderworder (Aurora, Colo./Grandview HS) both finished with 15 kills for UCF.

The Bulls (4-8) led 20-10 in game three, but the hosts rallied behind five kills from Heming. UCF hit .326 in the final game.

"USF always brings it. This is a very emotional series," said UCF head coach Meg Colado. "For us to beat them in three was a great credit to our players."

Freshman setter Andrea Youngblood (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County HS) led the Golden Knights with 45 assists. Junior outside hitter Lorin Lukas (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs HS) recorded 13 kills and sophomore middle blocker Stephanie Serna (San Antonio, Texas/O'Connor HS) had a season-best 11 kills.

The Bulls hit .288 for the match. Ashley Reavis paced USF with 16 kills, a match high. Marcela Gurgel tallied 13 kills. Brittany Castelamare had 31 assists in the losing effort.

UCF returns to action on Friday, Sept. 22, hosting SMU for a Conference USA match. First serve at the UCF Arena is set for 7 p.m. Admission is free courtesy of McDonald's.
