ORLANDO - The UCF volleyball team hits the road for the first time this season on Tuesday, facing North Florida in Jacksonville. First serve at the UNF Arena is slated for 7 p.m.
The Golden Knights (1-2) opened the season this past weekend, playing Stetson, BYU and Florida International at the UCF Fall Invitational. UCF claimed a 3-0 win over Stetson to open the event.
Junior outside hitter Schanell Neiderworder paced UCF in the season-opening tournament, averaging 3.56 kills and 3.00 digs per game. Senior setter Leah Alexander averaged a team-best 10.60 assists.
North Florida is also 1-2 on the year. The Ospreys won one match at the Troy/Hampton Inn Spiketacular this past weekend, topping host Troy, 3-1.
UCF and the Ospreys met for the first time a year ago. North Florida claimed a 3-2 contest in Orlando on Nov. 8.
