Football Practice Report No. 16

Aug. 20, 2006

ORLANDO - The UCF football team concluded its preseason camp on Sunday afternoon with a 45-minute workout on campus. Dressed in t-shirts, shorts and running shoes, the Golden Knights participated in individual drills and ran during the session.

"We had a good scrimmage with 100 plays yesterday, so I thought we needed to get some individual (work) done and make sure we get the kinks out," said UCF head coach George O'Leary. "I think we got a lot accomplished today."

The Golden Knights opened their preseason camp on Aug. 12. The camp consisted of 18 practice sessions.

Classes begin Monday at UCF and the squad will now practice in the morning. All practices during the school year are closed to the general public.

UCF opens the 2006 campaign on Sept. 2 at home against Villanova at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Ticket orders for this year are currently being accepted. Season ticket holders will be given priority when seats are sold in the new on-campus stadium, which is slated to open in 2007. Call 407-UCF-1000 to place your ticket order.
