ORLANDO - The UCF football team returned to the practice fields Monday morning for a two-hour session. The Golden Knights will also practice this evening at 7:30 p.m.
Despite overcast skies at times, the squad practiced outside. On Sunday, rain and lightning forced UCF to utilize the Nicholson Fieldhouse.
The Golden Knights have practiced 11 times since opening preseason camp on Aug. 12. Head coach George O'Leary is now expecting his players to perfect the new plays that they have been taught.
"This is a key week. A lot of installation is in, so we have to see the execution," O'Leary said. "The big thing (for the staff) is to decipher who can help us from a freshman standpoint."
Monday marks the team's final two-a-day session of the preseason.
On Tuesday, UCF is scheduled to practice from 3:30-5:40 p.m.
