Sun Sports to Profile UCF Football Program

Aug. 2, 2006

ORLANDO - "Under The Lights: George O'Leary," a 30-minute program profiling UCF's head football coach, premieres Friday at 8 p.m. on Sun Sports. The show provides viewers with a behind-the-scenes look at the Golden Knights and also shows O'Leary away from the field.

Whit Watson hosts the program, which also details UCF's historic 2005 season. The Golden Knights had one of the greatest turnarounds in college football history a year ago, winning eight games and earning a trip to a bowl game for the first time.

In addition to O'Leary, the show features interviews with former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Tice, who played for O'Leary at Central Islip High School in New York, current Golden Knights Steven Moffett and Chris Welsh and UCF President John C. Hitt.

The program will be replayed on Sun Sports numerous times this month, including Aug. 5 at 1 p.m., Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. and Aug. 9 at 4 p.m.

The Golden Knights open the 2006 campaign at home on Sept. 2 versus Villanova. Ticket orders are now being accepted and can be placed by calling (407) UCF-1000.
