ORLANDO - College Sports Television (CSTV) announced Monday that the network will air UCF's football game at Houston on Oct. 28 live to a national audience. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. Eastern from Robertson Stadium in Houston.
The Golden Knights will appear on national television a school-record six times in 2006. CSTV is scheduled to broadcast UCF's home contest against USF on Sept. 16 and the team's game at Memphis on Nov. 11.
With the addition of the Houston game, four of UCF's Conference USA tilts will be nationally televised.
A year ago, the Golden Knights played in front of a national audience five times, including three games on ESPN. UCF will appear on ESPN 2 at home versus Southern Miss on Sept. 26 and at Marshall on Oct. 4.
ESPN will broadcast UCF's home game versus Pittsburgh on Oct. 13.
Since head coach George O'Leary arrived at UCF in 2004, the Golden Knights have made six national television appearances. In its first year in C-USA, UCF went 8-5 overall and 7-1 in league play in 2005, claiming the East Division title.
UCF plays seven games at home in 2006 and season tickets are currently on sale. The team opens the campaign at the Florida Citrus Bowl on Sept. 2 versus Villanova. To order season tickets or to renew your season ticket package, please call 407-823-1000.
