Tribble to Speak at Chamber Luncheon

ORLANDO - UCF director of athletics Keith R. Tribble will be the featured speaker at the African American Chamber of Commerce's summer M-Powerment luncheon Thursday, July 27.

The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, 8001 International Drive. Tribble will speak at about 12:15 p.m.

Tribble began working as UCF's athletics director in June. He directs an intercollegiate athletics department that includes nearly 600 student-athletes in 17 varsity sports.

Before coming to UCF, Tribble served for 13 years as chief executive officer of the Orange Bowl Committee in Miami. In the past several years, Tribble has been named among the "Most Influential Minorities in Sports" by Sports Illustrated and one of the "Most Powerful Blacks in Sports" by Black Enterprise magazine.

The African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida serves as an advocacy organization to unify, promote and empower the African-American community in the areas of programming, economic development, education and training.
