ORLANDO - Newly appointed Director of Athletics Keith R. Tribble announced Wednesday the addition of David Chambers and David Hansen to the senior management team of the UCF Athletics Association. Chambers will assume the role of executive associate athletics director and Hansen will serve as senior associate athletics director for internal affairs.
"David Chambers and David Hansen are excellent additions to the UCF athletics family," said Tribble. "I have had the pleasure of knowing each of them throughout their careers and watched with great excitement as they ascended to prominent ranks within their previous institutions.
"From an external and internal perspective, UCF has gained two individuals who possess the work experience and leadership qualities that will enable UCF to grow and fulfill its athletics potential," added Tribble.

Chambers is currently the senior associate athletics director for external affairs at Virginia Tech, where he is responsible for supervising the Hokies' marketing and promotions, sports information and ticket operations, as well as the athletic department's website and newspaper. He also serves as Virginia Tech's liaison with its multi-media rights holder, ISP.
Chambers began at Virginia Tech in 1998, reuniting with Director of Athletics Jim Weaver, whom he served for as an Associate Athletics Director while Weaver was the AD at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Chambers also held rank at the NCAA and the University of Iowa in prior stops.
Hansen comes to UCF from the University of Southern Mississippi where he holds the position of deputy director of athletics for the Golden Eagles, serving as the department's chief operating officer and chief financial officer, as well as directing all major athletics facility projects during a tenure which began in 1999.
Hansen's additional responsibilities for Director of Athletics Richard Giannini at USM include oversight of the men's basketball and baseball programs along with critical internal roles of budgeting, policies and procedures, event management, human resources, equipment, video, camps and risk management.
His previous experience includes stints at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, the University of Florida and Raycom Management Group.
Both Chambers and Hansen are expected to report to their new posts at UCF on July 3.
