ORLANDO - The UCF track and field team signed Bronx, New York native Feyisara Adaramola to a National Letter of Intent (NLI), the Golden Knights' head coach Marcia Mansur-Wentworth announced on Thursday.

As a member of the Trevor Day High School track squad, Adaramola placed 12th at the National Indoor Championships in the 200m and was also the 55m champion at the 2006 Colgate Track Series.

In indoor track, Adaramola is ranked second in the state both the 55m (7.07) and 200m (24.61), while she is third in 60m (7.63).

Adaramola joins five other Empire State natives on the UCF roster, including freshman Shantile Blackburn and Olinka Crusoe, who are products of Brooklyn's Bishop Laughlin High School.

"We're very excited to have a fantastic young woman like Feyisara join our team," said Mansur-Wentworth. "She gives us strength in sprints that we haven't enjoyed in the past and will also be an asset on the 4x100m relay."

In their first year in Conference USA, the Golden Knights finished seventh at the indoor track and field championship and took eighth in the outdoor championship.
