ORLANDO - UCF women's basketball coach Gail Striegler announced Tuesday that West Bloomfield, Michigan native Randall Hurst signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) and will join the Golden Knights' for the 2006-07 season.
Hurst, a 6-0 guard, averaged 25 points and 15 rebound per game at West Bloomfield High School as she helped lead the team to the district finals during the past season.
"Randall is a versatile swing player, who can see time at the three and four positions," said Striegler. "She has the ability to post on the blocks or hit the outside shot. I believe she is the type of player that can assist us in elevating our game to the next level."
In their first season in Conference USA, the Golden Knights posted a 7-21 overall mark and a 5-11 record in league play.
