UCF Shines in Final Day of Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. - Members of the UCF women's track and field team posted personal and season bests as the Golden Knights concluded competition at the Asics Duke Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Shantile Blackburn posted a career-best time of 2:12.99 in the 800m, an effort that ranks third all-time at UCF to finish in the top 20. Meanwhile, junior Karen Kozub made her season debut in the event with a time of 2:14.77.

Meanwhile, in the 3,000m steeplechase, senior and two-time NCAA Regional qualifier Andrea Morrow earned her best time of the season at 11:05.84, just 15 seconds off the NCAA Regional standard of 10:50.25, as she placed 12th. In only her third time racing the event, sophomore Elizabeth Miller continued to better her time, finishing at 11:48.57.

Junior Jenny Rogan posted a personal best in the 400m dash at 57.65.

Next up for the Golden Knights is the Bulldog Limited in Athens, Ga. on April 21 and 22.
