AUSTIN, Texas - Senior Tiffany Roebuck surpassed the NCAA Regional qualifying standard in the hammer throw for the second time this season as the UCF track and field team opened competition at the 79th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Thursday.

Roebuck earned a mark of 178-feet, seven inches (54.43 meters) to finish 12th in the field of 22. Of those competitors, 14 earned regional qualifying marks, including Virginia Tech's Kristen Callan who took first at 202-6 (62.94m).

Earlier this season at the Disney Relays, Roebuck shattered her own school record by almost seven feet with a throw of 192-3 (58.61m).

It is the third consecutive year that Roebuck has qualified for the NCAA Regional.
