UCF Sports Report to Debut Saturday

March 30, 2006

ORLANDO - UCF fans will have the opportunity to learn more about the Golden Knights when the UCF Sports Report radio show makes it season debut on Saturday. The hour-long program airs each Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. on the UCF ISP Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 THE TEAM-AM.

Scott Adams hosts the show, which features interviews with UCF head coaches and student-athletes. The "Voice of the Golden Knights," Marc Daniels, will open the show each week, speaking with baseball head coach Jay Bergman.

Following a 30-minute segment on baseball, Adams will review the past week in UCF athletics and also preview upcoming games and events for all of the Golden Knight programs.

Fans can also listen via the web at www.UCFathletics.com as part of the Golden Knights All-Access package.

This week, women's golf head coach Emilee Klein will appear on the program. Klein is in her first season with the Golden Knights after starring on the LPGA Tour. Her team is coming off of a second-place finish at the Waterlefe Invitational on March 21. The Golden Knights will return to action on Friday, competing at the state championship in Miami Lakes.

Adams will also speak to women's tennis captain Pamela Fernandez. The senior from Orlando won three singles matches last week and has helped the Golden Knights claim five-consecutive matches. UCF returns to action on Saturday, facing Conference USA foe Marshall in Louisville, Ky.

Eight episodes of the UCF Sports Report will air this spring. The final show is scheduled for May 20.
