Relay Teams Pace Track and Field in Final Day at Disney Invitational

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - A pair of relay teams led the UCF women's track and field team as the Golden Knights completed competition at the Disney Invitational on Saturday at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

The 4x800-meter relay team of juniors Karen Kozub and Christina Jones, sophomore Kristen Zieminski and freshman Shantile Blackburn grabbed top honors as they bettered their previous school record, set on the same track just two weeks ago, with a time of 9:16.22.

In the 4x400m relay, which featured junior Jenny Rogan, sophomore Victoria Chin, junior Kaprice Williams and freshman Olinka Crusoe, the Golden Knights placed third in a time of 3:50.1.

Elsewhere, senior Tiffany Roebuck took fifth in the shot put with a season-best toss of 45-feet, eight inches.

UCF finished fourth overall in the 16-team field with 90.33 points. South Carolina took top honors with 154 points followed by Georgia Tech (135.5 pts.) and Ohio State (92.83). Maryland was fifth with 67 points.

The Golden Knights travel to the Diet Pepsi Classic in Gainesville on April 1.
