UCF Track and Field Continues to Shine at Disney Invitational

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Individual athletes posted season and personal bests as the UCF track and field team continued competition at Disney Invitational on Friday at Disney's Wide World of Sports.

Junior Jenny Rogan set the standard for the Golden Knights when she opened the second day of the meet with a personal best time of 57.96 in the 400-meter event. Her effort placed 11th.

A pair of senior Golden Knights also earned season bests in the long jump. Diana Chin was third at 19-feet, six inches, while Lynnsey Hicks leaped 18-0 in the finals.

In the pole vault, junior Katie Fowke posted a mark of 11-6 to finish in a tie for third.

Later in the day, sophomore Victoria Chin paced UCF in the 400m hurdles by placing fourth in a time of 61.93. Freshman Michelle Ranc took ninth in the event at 66.15 followed by senior Kylene Colasanti in 10th at 66.83 and freshman Natalie Braddock in 12th at 68.18.

Rogan and Victoria Chin joined juniors Kaprice Williams and LaToya Green to place third in the 4x200m relay with a school record of 1:39.

The Golden Knights cap off competition at the Disney Invitational on Saturday before traveling to the Diet Pepsi Classic in Gainesville on April 1.
